Refreshed and rejuvenated

Located in the busy government and legal hub of Melbourne’s CBD, 300 La Trobe Street is a 34 level office building with access to a wide array of popular dining and retail destinations. It embodies the energy and drive that fuels Melbourne’s corporate and cultural life.

Lockin was thrilled to again be specified by architects Grey Puksand for this building’s end-of-trip(EOT) fitout, whose brief was to create an eye-catching facility that would both refresh, inspire and energise its users. The design aesthetic for this project was quite unique, with 262 of our PS2 lockers in a striking black laminate finish complemented with customised vinyl numbering and sophisticated Ojmar OCS locks.

A high impact visual feature was provided via a lime laminate and matching edging, supplied by Abet Laminati. To finish the look, Lockin went the extra mile with colour-matched, hand painted v grooves on the end panels and ironing board unit doors.

Extra features for the fitout includedbench seats and custom shoe boxes integrated into the locker banks, as well as ironing board units and water drinking stations in both male and female change-rooms. Responding to the specific challenges of the building form, we also designed angled bulkheads that could accommodate existing ducting within the ceiling space.

Modern and visually striking, the energy and inspiration behind the EOT facility at 300 La Trobe might best be summed up by the slogan emblazoned across the feature wall that greets you as you enter: ‘The greatest adventure is what lies ahead’.
