The CMV building is an impressively large facility that’s a combination of sales room, spare parts storeroom and rest and recreation facility for long haul truck drivers. ISM worked with builder Qanstruct across a number of key areas within the facility, including a staff café and lunchroom, bathrooms and office joinery.
The staff café and lunchroom caters to CMV’s 100 plus team. This project included the installation of a food preparation bench with Caesar stone bench top and laminate cabinetry. The area is well stocked for those wanting to prepare their own meals, with commercial toasters, microwaves, refrigerator, sink and Zip instant tap.
Adjacent to the bench is a café/kitchen operated by a commercial caterer. ISM installed the outside benches and stone bench tops. On the opposite side of the hall, we also constructed laminate bench tops and sidebar in a lively shade of orange.
Within the bathrooms, ISM installed all the vanities, finished in a Polytec Ravine laminate, plus stone bench tops and mirrors. Our work within the office space was to install custom standing desks for staff.
We’re proud of our role in working with client and builder in creating a good looking, highly functional and flexible workspace designed to enable a wide range of activities and work styles.
Dotted across the office ISM also created tea and water points that integrated curved lighting, plumbing and materials like stone and timber slats. This design also carried across into planter boxes, like the ones featured in front of the kitchen. The kitchen was also created by ISM, using various materials such as laminate, mdf and stone. To match the kitchen, ISM also created custom lockers and utility joinery seen in the file and copy rooms.
